Lot 213 Browning Superposed 'Superlight Pigeon' 12 Ga #550

Belgium made Over/Under box-lock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells manufactured circa 1966, and imported by Browning Arms Company out of Morgan, UT., and Montreal P.Q.. Featuring blued finished 26 1/2" vent ribbed barrels, barrels and marked for & measures Mod / Imp Cyl, ejectors, Bradley style front sight with red insert, white mid-bead, gold-toned single smooth curved inertia trigger, tang mounted serrated sliding barrel selector and safety, and a checkered top lever. The receiver, top lever, safety/barrel selector, and trigger guard display full coverage of upland game, floral and scroll engravings with edge designs. The receiver and its parts are French Grey finished with the barrels being a blued finish. Figured satin finished walnut furniture consists of a straight grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, long lower tang, sliding checkered schnabel forend with deeley latch release, 14" length-of-pull, 1-1/2" drop at comb, 2-3/8" drop at heel, and a black Pachmayr solid rubber recoil pad with black spacer. The original blued finish retained is approximately 96% with superficial scratches, edge wear, and losses where the parts rub. The French Grey finish is excellent with little remarkable to speak of. Metal displays a very small amount of scattered light rust spots on the barrels. Furniture wood looks near excellent with light superficial scratches and handling marks. Bores are very good, but looking a little dirty. The action is smooth and crisp with solid lock-up and the top-lever standing right of center. This shotgun includes original luggage style brown Browning faux leather factory hard-case (a large triangular sticker on the top), a key with key chain and Japanese coin, and a silicon cloth. This shotgun would be 'Very Good' without the observed rust.
Condition is NRA Good.
