American made semi-automatic single-action target pistol chambered for .38 Super, manufactured circa 1993 in Hartford, CT. This is a Lew Horton exclusive, a Gold Cup National Match premium 1911, and only 400 were produced. Pistol features a high gloss blued finish, a 5" barrel, fixed partridge front sight, short single-piece metal guide rod, micrometer adjustable square notched Elliason rear sight, serrated manual thumb safety mounted on the left side of the frame, serrated push-button magazine release, wide two-tone skeletonized serrated curved adjustable trigger, undercut and beveled trigger guard, two-tone skeletonized hammer, serrated hammer spur, smooth extended beavertail grip safety, serrated front strap, serrated mainspring housing, checkered recoil spring plug, and two-piece pearlite grips with gold-toned Colt medallions. The original blued finish retained is approximately 99% with nothing remarkable. Metal displays no rust or deformation. The action is smooth and crisp, and the grips are excellent. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Pistol comes with original blue plastic factory box, factory cardboard sleeve, and manual. Like new.
