German WWII era military bolt action rifle, '237' coded, dated 1939, imported by TG, Knoxsville, TN. Features 24" barrel, blade front sight, tangent rear sight, bayonet lug, bent bolt handle, manual safety, wood stock with steel buttplate & bolt disassembly lug in butt, sling slots. Bore is fair to good condition, a bit dark & lightly pitted with strong rifling. Metal is blue finished, some fading or discoloration on various parts. Stock is very good condition with dents & small gouges, has a heavy coat of varnish. The serial number is matched on the barrel, receiver and stock, the rest mismatched. Has the usual waffenamts and eagle/swastika proofs. Included with this rifle is a box containing two boxes of 20 Hotshot 8mm soft point 150 grain, boxer primed rounds, three boxes of 20 PMC 8mm 170 grain PSP rounds, one box of 15 Russian military 8mm rounds, 3 stripper clips of five each, one box of 15 Russian 8mm rounds, box of 5 Remington 8mm 170 gr. soft pt, core-lokt and one bag of 74 S&B 196 grain soft point rounds-Total 209 rounds. Weight 13 lbs.
