The Steyr Mannlicher MCA chambered in .257 Weatherby Magnum is a rare and highly sought-after variant of the classic Mannlicher-Schoenauer rifle. Reports suggest that very few were made in this caliber with 100-125 produced. Austrian rotary spool 5 rd magazine action. Manufactured in Austria by Steyr-Daimler-Puch A.G. circa 1962 and imported by Stoeger Arms Corp with import stamp on the bottom of the floorplate. Features a high polish blued finish, 26" barrel, ramped & hooded white bead top blade front sight, rear sight removed, steel insert in dove tail, smooth curved trigger, polished bolt with butter knife handle, two-position flag safety on the rear of the bolt, thumb safety on right receiver and point checkered walnut stock with black forend tip & grip cap with white spacers, right handed Monte Carlo cheekpiece, sling swivels, Winchester vented red rubber recoil pad. 13 1/2” LOP. The receiver is drilled & tapped on the ring and left side of the “bridge". Mounted with a Vintage Kowa Prominar 8X scope, fine cross hair reticle, clear optics. Matching serial numbers are found on the receiver, barrel and bolt handle. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its original blued finish showing some minor handling marks, a small rub on the left receiver rail with finish loss, minor muzzle/edge wear. The action is mechanically sound, the bore appears excellent and the walnut stock is near excellent with minor blemishes.
