American made, Colt 3rd Generation Single-Action Army revolver chambered for .44-40 Winchester, manufactured circa 1990 in Hartford, CT. The .44 Special cylinder is installed with the .44-40 Win. cylinder in the box. Revolver features a high gloss blued finish, a 4-3/4" round barrel, blade front sight, notched frame rear sight, fluted six-round cylinder, collard cylinder pin head, thin smooth curved trigger, bird's head style ejector rod button, two-toned hammer with polished sides, firing pin on hammer nose, checkered hammer spur, smooth grip straps, and replacement two-piece stag grips. Barrel stamped "COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." in one line on the top of the barrel, and the left side is stamped "Colt Single Action Army 44-40". Two-line black powder patent dates are marked on the left side of the frame. The frame markings and serial numbers are sharp and legible. The original high gloss blued finish retained is approximately 99% with nothing remarkable. Metal displays no rust or deformation. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up. The stag grips are excellent. Revolver includes original factory cardboard box, paperwork, and extra .44-40 Win. cylinder.
