Lot 145 Winchester Model 1892 .32-20 #352003
American made vintage lever action rifle chambered in .32-20 Winchester manufactured circa 1906 in New Haven, CT. It features a 24-1/4" round barrel, full length magazine tube, dovetailed blade front sight highlighted with a yellow painted dot, adjustable buckhorn rear sight, smooth walnut forend, smooth straight wristed buttstock, metal end cap, smooth steel crescent buttplate, smooth curved trigger, and exposed hammer with a checkered spur. Bore is bright with strong rifling. The original blued finish has turned a brown patina with approximately 20% remaining. There are traces of blue on the receiver, and rear of the barrel. The metal condition shows some scattered rust on the receiver, the magazine tube, and light pitting along the barrel. Winchester brand and address markings are a little shallow but legible. The caliber, proof, and serial numbers are very sharp. Wood furniture is good with scattered small dents, and scratches. The action is smooth and crisp.
