American made single action semi-automatic 8 shot 1911 style pistol from the Smith & Wesson Performance Center chambered for the .45 Automatic Colt Pistol cartridge. Manufactured in Springfield, MA. Introduced at the 2004 Shot Show, this may have been the first 'Performance Center' production run with the 'JMB' serial prefix. This is a highly desirable 1911 by shooters and collectors. Featuring a matte stainless steel construction with polished flats, 5" barrel, flared and raised ejection port, front and rear slide serrations, lightened hammer and trigger spring weights, full length metal guide rod, skeletonized serrated curved trigger, skeletonized lightened hammer with serrated spur, serrated and extended ambidextrous safety, flared magazine well, checkered push button safety, dovetailed blade front sight, adjustable Wilson Combat rear sight, extended beaver tail grip safety, checkered front strap, checkered mainspring housing, and textured hardwood RoCo grips. The original stainless finish retained is approximately 99% with very light scratches on the right side of the frame. Metal shows no rust or deformation. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the action is really tight, smooth and crisp. The RoCo grips are in excellent condition. This is a hand-fit pistol and may need to be broken in. Included in aluminum carry case with paperwork, barrel wrench, and test fired cartridges. Case has a broken latch.
