Lot 118 Mauser P.08 Luger 'S/42 1939' 9mm #8167o

German military WWII era semiautomatic pistol, dated 1939. Early Mauser "S/42" on toggle. Marked with Waffenamts Eagle/63, all observed small parts marked with partial serial number "67", "8167" on slide, barrel and frame. Observed markings are crisp. Features blued finish, 4" barrel, dovetailed inverted 'V' front sight with witness-marks, 'v' notched rear sight, smooth crescent trigger, knurled charging knobs on the rear toggle link, manual safety on the left side of the frame, knurled push button magazine release, steel frame with lanyard loop & stock lug, and two-piece finely checkered walnut grips. Bore is excellent/bright, strong rifling. Retains about 85% finish, some dulling and fading of bluing, with holster wear throughout, side plate shows some bare metal. Straw color retained on ejector. Grips are very good or better, solid fit to frame. Includes two magazines: one marked "7920a" on alloy plug, code fxo C.G. Haenel (Suhl), Waffenamt Eagle/37 and "P-08, second one marked the same except black bakelite plug is unmarked. Also come with correct black leather holster marked on rear with large "P-08", Waffenamt "Eagle/WaW127" and makers code "cxb 41" (Moll, Lederwarenfabrik, Goch, Rheinland). Holster includes take-down tool marked with Waffenamt "Eagle/135" (Mauser-Werke Oberndorf) ,very good condition. No importer marks, vet bring-back.
