American made 'Old West' style side gate lever-action centerfire rifle chambered for .45-70 Government, and manufactured in Rice Lake, WI. Rifle has a color-case hardened receiver and tangs, with the remainder of the components having a blued finish. It features a 22" octagonal barrel, raised serrated blade front sight with a brass bead, fully adjustable buckhorn style rear sight, smooth curved trigger, external hammer with serrated spur, transfer bar safety, grip safety, and four-round 3/4 length magazine tube. The walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered forend with a sling swivel on the end cap, sling swivel on the bottom of the shoulder stock, and a factory black ventilated rubber recoil pad with black spacer. Rifle retains approximately 99% of its original color case finish with scattered superficial scratches. The blued finish is also excellent. Metal displays no rust or deformation. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The walnut furniture is also excellent.
