Lot 67 Browning Superposed 'Pigeon Grade' 12 Ga #21356

'Felix Funken Master Engraved & Signed' Belgium made over and under box-lock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells, manufactured circa 1951, and imported by Browning Arms Company out of St. Louis, MO. Featuring blued finish, 28" vent ribbed barrels, fixed chokes marked for Skeet / Skeet, ejectors, Bradley front sight without insert, ivory mid-bead, in-the-white single smooth curved inertia trigger, tang mounted serrated sliding barrel selector and safety, long lower tang, and a checkered top lever. Barrels are blued, and the rest of the components are French Greyed. The receiver, top lever, and trigger guard display full coverage of floral scroll engravings, edge designs, and a depiction of upland game on both sides of the receiver. Refinished gloss finished walnut furniture consists of a round-knob grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, sliding checkered forend with deeley latch release, 14" length-of-pull, 1-1/2" drop at comb, 2-3/8" drop at heel, and a brown Pachmayr ventilated rubber recoil pad with black and white spacer. The original blued finish retained is approximately 94% with superficial scratches, an extremely small nick, some edge wear and contact wear from the forend. Metal displays no rust or deformation, solder is visible along the side ribs. Furniture wood looks good with light scattered scratches and dings, a small 1/2" crack at the rear of the top tang, and what looks like a fabric impression in the finish on the buttstock. Bores are excellent and bright. The action opens easily with tight lock-up and the top lever standing slightly right of center. This shotgun includes Browning black and red two compartment fabric soft case.
Condition is NRA Good to Very Good.
