Lot 36 Inland M1 Carbine .30 Cal #2982634
WW2 US military semiautomatic rifle manufactured circa 1944. Features parkerized finish, Type III low wood, oval cut "Pot Belly" stock 4 rivet handguard, protected blade front sight stamped "R.I.A." Type II milled adjustable rear sight, which was introduced around April 1944, marked with "H" in shield (Hemphill Co.) 18" barrel, rotary safety, magazine release marked with underlined "M", oval sling slot in butt, accepts detachable magazine. Correct Type III barrel band stamped "MMQ" (Mueller-Manz Company), flat top bolt, hammer stamped "HN" (National Postal Meter) and trigger housing stamped "Rock Ola". Bore appears excellent/bright. Retains about 92% finish with light edge/handling wear, colors and textures consistent with US production or US military arsenals. The stock and handguard appear to be newer replacements, no cartouches. Inland marked receiver. Barrel marked "Underwood 6-44" with flaming bomb. Serial number places it in production by Inland Nov, 1943. No importer marks observed. No Magazine.
