'The Model of 1953 .22/32 Target,' a small frame double action revolver chambered in 22 long rifle. American made, and manufactured circa 1971-1973 in Springfield, MA. Featuring a gloss blued finish, pinned tapered 6" barrel, partially serrated narrow barrel rib, partridge front sight, adjustable micrometer notched rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder with counterbored chambers, color-case serrated curved trigger, color-case semi-target hammer, checkered hammer spur, smooth grip straps, three screw square-butt 'J' target frame, and two-piece checkered walnut Magna grips with gold-colored S&W medallions. Revolver retains approximately 98% of its original blued finish showing a faint drag line on the cylinder, and light superficial scratches on the frame. Metal displays no rust or deformation. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The wood grips are also excellent.
