American made, Colt 2nd Generation 'Buntline Special,' a Single-Action Army revolver chambered in .45 Long Colt, manufactured circa 1960 in Hartford, CT. Revolver features a color-case hardened frame, a blued 12" barrel, two-toned hammer with polished sides, fixed blade front sight, notched frame rear sight, two-toned thin smooth curved trigger, fluted six-round cylinder, collard cylinder pin head, birds head style ejector rod button, smooth grip straps, firing pin on hammer nose, checkered hammer spur, and checkered black hard rubber grips with 'American Eagle' and 'Rampant Colt' motifs. The frame is color-case hardened, the hammer and trigger are two-toned blued with polished sides, and the remaining components and have a blued finish. The original blued finish retained is approximately 96% with edge wear, thinning on the backstrap, and light scattered scratches. The color-case finish is colorful and mostly intact. Metal displays small scattered spots of rust, but shows no deformation. The action functions soundly with a tight lock-up, and the grips are excellent. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent. The cylinder pin is hard to remove and reinstall.
