Lot 5 SOUTH TEXAS WHITETAIL HUNT FOR TWO- HUNT WIDE-OPEN BRUSH COUNTRY BUCKS IN THE LONE STAR STATE
Stretching across 13,000-plus acres in LaSalle County, just 26 miles from Cotulla, Great Horizon Ranch sits in
the heart of South Texas’ legendary Golden Triangle with 6.5 miles bordering the famed Nueces River. This is
classic South Texas deer country - big habitat, free-range wildlife, and mature bucks.
This package is for two hunters to harvest a total of two white-tailed bucks - one scoring 149” or less and one
scoring 139” or less. BOTH DEER CAN BE UPGRADED FOR ADDITIONAL FEES. Fully guided whitetailed deer hunts are three days and two nights, with lodging and meals included. All buck hunts are for deer 4.5 years of age or older and are conducted from designated blinds. Ranch staff must be contacted to confirm
hunt dates, and the guide will make the final determination before a buck is taken.
Great Horizon Ranch is considered a low-fence ranch, with zero acres under high fence. Because of this,
harvested bucks are eligible for entry into the Pope and Young Club or Boone and Crockett Club record books
if they meet minimum requirements. While many hunters choose rifles, numerous archery blinds provide
bowhunters a legitimate opportunity at a trophy South Texas whitetail.
Great Horizon Ranch operates from two remote yet comfortable headquarters, selected based on the hunt.
Both camps provide modern amenities, including satellite television and WiFi, while preserving the seclusion
of true South Texas deer country. The South Camp features two well-appointed modular homes with private
guest suites, king beds, private baths, and full kitchens. The North Camp offers bunk-style lodging with four
private bedrooms and baths, a full kitchen, and a 2,500-square-foot gathering and trophy room where hunters
can dine, watch the game, and relive the day’s hunt surrounded by impressive mounts.
Non-hunting guests are welcome at $250 per night, which includes lodging and meals. Beer and liquor are
bring-your-own unless the package is upgraded. Check-in is at 12:00 noon, and check-out
is at 10:00 a.m. on the final day of the hunt. Laredo International Airport is located
70 miles away, and San Antonio International Airport is 97 miles from the ranch.
Each hunter may also add a free-range Axis buck hunt for $3,500.
