This premium wolf pelt was trapped in extreme northern Alberta at the peak of the winter fur condition where daily temperatures go down to -40 degrees.
This area of Alberta is home to some of the largest wolves in the world and we are very happy to have this beautiful high-quality example to offer up for auction today. This color is often called a blue wolf, with a stunning combination of dense black and grey fur. This luxurious pelt is a “cased” pelt rather than an “open” pelt which means it can be mounted as a full body mount or it can be displayed as it is. All feet and claws are intact.
This massive pelt is 83 inches from nose to tail, which would put its live weight between 155 and 175 pounds.
