Lot 3503 BRITISH M1827 VOLUNTEER RIFLES OFFICER SWORD.

A nice British volunteer rifles of the M1827 form measuring 38 1/4" overall with an etched blade that shows foliate motifs, crowned VR, and a crowned horn. The blade's ricasso is marked "WILKINSON PALL MALL LONDON". Silvered 4 branch hilt with a crowned horn in the pierced guard. Wire wrapped shark skin grip. No scabbard. CONDITION: blade has a light gray patina. Hilt shows substantial original silvered finish. Grip solid. PROVENANCE: From the PMRB Collection. (02-25855/BF). NON-GUN. $300-500.
