Cal. 45. NSN. Oct. 24". Back of barrel has 8" extended staff holding Lyman 57EW receiver sight; open front dovetail. Under rib has 2 pipes holding hardwood ramrod. Back action lock w/ single trigger. Wedge fastened walnut stock w/ beavertail cheekpiece, crescent buttplate & finger curl triggerguard. Pewter appearing nosecap & wedge escutcheons. CONDITION: barrel has brown finish with a few spots of oxidation; other metal shows brown patina finish with light pitting. Wood shows very good finish with light handling marks. Bore shows strong rifling w/ some shine & oxidation. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (01-28370/MD). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
