FLINTLOCK KENTUCKY RIFLE. Cal. 48. NSN. Oct. 43"; touch-hole shows evidence of prior percussion bolster. Dovetailed blade front sight & flat top notch rear sight. Replacement flintlock w/ dbl. set triggers. Full length walnut stock w/ brass furniture including segmented patchbox. CONDITION: metal has brown patina appearance with numerous dents to edges & spots of corrosion. Stock has several large cracks, large piece missing around top tang, missing wedges & numerous dings. Patchbox appears to be stuck in place with bent buttplate. Dark pitted bore. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. (01-27741/MD). ANTIQUE. $700-1,100.
