Left quarter flat of the bbl. is marked "Connecticut Valley Arms, Inc./ Black Powder Only .45 Cal.", followed by the S# towards the breech. Lockplate, and hammer exhibit a case colored finish, with light decorative engraving. Steel bbl. and percussion drum exhibit a blue finish. 1-piece single wedge fastened plain wood straight grip stock features a brass buttplate, an inlaid brass Great Seal of the United States (right side of buttstock), brass trigger guard, oval brass wedge escutcheon, brass nosecap, as well as 2 brass pipes. Reverse mounted dovetailed brass blade front sight with dovetailed steel square notch rear sight. Action features double set triggers. Complete with a brass tipped hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory finishes, showing some spots of light edge wear, as well as some superficial handling marks.
