Lot 3358 ITALIAN REPRODUCTION COLT PATERSON SINGLE ACTION

PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36. S# 1471. Bbl. 7 1/2". Reproduction Paterson single action percussion revolver mfg. in Italy by an unknown mfg. Revolver is devoid of any identifying markings or proofs, save for an Italian Gardone/Brescia Star/PN black powder proof marked on the front face of the cyl. Cyl. is engraved with Colt's stagecoach hold-up scene. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece plain wood grip, featuring an inlaid apparent German silver 5-pointed star on either side, each point of the star adorned with brass tacks. Fixed blade front sight with V-notched hammer rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame and bbl. CONDITION: metal components have been aged, exhibiting gray and brown patinas, with areas of light surface oxidation and pitting present overall (most notably on the bbl.). Cyl. base pin assembly retains traces of original factory blue finish, with fair amounts of case coloring remaining on the hammer. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grip sows some superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. (01-27789/MLW). ANTIQUE. $500-800.
