SINGLE ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 44. S# 603571. Bbl. 6". Reproduction Starr Model 1863 single action percussion revolver mfg. in Italy by Pietta. Left side of the bbl. is marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY 44 CAL", with Pietta's "FAP" within a diamond logo and mfg. information marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15. 1856" above the S#, with Italian proofs, "CF" (2010) date code, and "STARR. ARMS. Co. NEW. YORK." marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece plain wood grip. Dovetailed blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. Cyl. matches the frame via "571". CONDITION: metal components retain virtually all of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting few light superficial handling marks and a few spots of hardened grease overall. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grip shows a few minor superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains very good overall.
