Cal. 32 Police. S# 113906. Bbl. 3 1/2". Pocket Positive double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1923. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the model and cal. designations, with Colt's 2-line mfg. and patent information marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the sides of the hammer, which are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "COLT" checkered black hard rubber grips. Half-moon blade front sight with frame notched rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame and cyl. crane. Grips are matching via the full S#, which is inscribed on the interior of the panels. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, showing scattered spots of light to mild dark surface oxidation and pitting. Each side of the bbl. exhibits a patch of dark oxidation, with the surrounding area fading to gray from cleaning. Very bright bore, exhibiting scattered spots of light pitting and several spots of dark pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remain sound. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Berrien Moore III. (25-6024/MLW). CURIO. $200-400.
