HOLSTER. Cal. 32 Colt. S# 82784. Bbl. 3 1/2". Pocket Positive double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1917. Left side of the bbl. is marked "POCKET-/ POSITIVE" followed by the S#, with Colt's 2-line mfg. and patent information marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with the sides of the hammer being polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "COLT" checkered black hard rubber grips. Half-moon blade front sight with U-notch frame rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame and cyl. crane. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster stamped "4406" and marked with illegible handwriting in black ink on the rear of the belt loop. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, showing areas of wear and thinning fading to gray and brown patinas, scattered spots of light surface oxidation, as well as scattered scratches and superficial handling marks overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting two patches of dark moderate pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing and scattered superficial marks handling marks. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as varying degrees of crazing overall. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. (25-4149/MLW).
