Lot 3238 TWO 1864 DATED US M1860 CAVALRY SABERS WITH
ALL: Overall: 41". Brass hilts with wire wrapped leather grips. Steel scabbards.
1) EMERSON & SILVER. CONDITION: Blade has cleaned appearance with light pitting & patina. Hilt shows large portion of cleaning along with added lacquer. Wiring appears tight. Scabbard show brazed repair 10" from tip with oxidation throughout.
2) MANSFIELD & LAMB. "50" is stamped on guard & pommel. CONDITION: blade shows patina, numerous sm. nicks to edge & scratches. Hilt has appealing mustard patina with spots of paint. Wire is loose to deteriorating grip. Scabbard has added black paint with oxidation & marks. (02-25311/MD). NON-GUN. $100-300.
