^Lot 3198 COMPOSITE 1860 ARMY REVOLVER.

Cal. 44. S# 11597. This revolver appears to be a mix of Italian style reproduction parts with original Colt wood grip. Bbl. 8". Matching numbered bbl., cyl., grip straps & wedge. Brass triggerguard. Backstrap has notch for shoulder stock. "L", "S" & "H" inspector stamps throughout. Round rebated six shot cyl. w/ naval scene roll engraving. CONDITION: cleaned metal has mottled gray coloration from cold blue application showing spots of corrosion. Cleaned brass trigger guard is starting to reacquire a mild patina. Grips are heavily sanded & undersized w/ dark reddish finish & lack any sign of cartouches. Some screws show distortion. Cyl. locks up on 1 notch during hand cycling. Bore has strong rifling showing areas of pitting & frosting. (01-23499). ANTIQUE. $200-300.
