Cal. 577. NSN. This is an honest example of the most popular imported longarm, both North & South. Standard configuration, brass furniture, 3 clamping iron barrel bands, 39" Birmingham proofed barrel, 1862 dated "TOWER" lock and crown at tail. Original chained nipple protector attached to rear sling swivel. CONDITION: complete & original, metal cleaned, iron has gray patina, brass has toned patina, good markings in metal. Stock sanded and re-finished, mechanically fine, good rifled bore. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of John "Jack" Dhooghe. (01-28237/JS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
