Cal. 30 US (30-40 Krag). S# 64437. Bbl 22" carbine style. Pinned German silver beaded front sight with graduated leaf carbine rear sight. Action has saddle ring on left side. Blue finish. Band fastened finger groove walnut forend and handguard. Straight grip walnut stock with carbine trapdoor buttplate. Mfg. 1911. CONDITION: over 40% dull blue fading to gray showing handling marks and spots of very light pitting. Sanded refinished wood shows dents and handling marks with areas of darkened appearance around the metal. Stock has small chips around the tangs. Sound action. Dark lightly pitted bore with intact rifling. (25-6525/DS). CURIO. $800-1,200.
