Cal. S# 45179. Bbl. 3 1/4". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on frame, cyl. & bbl. latch. 2nd Model 38 Top Break mfr. 1880-1884. Renickeled finish. Checkered hard rubber grips with matching numbered right panel & S&W monograms. CONDITION: bottom of right grip panel shows a chip, grips otherwise show some dings, handling marks & checkering wear. Metal retains 92% of an old renickel with scattered oxidation, handling marks & flaking. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows a few patches of oxidation & pitting but strong rifling. (01-28758/MJC). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
