SHOTGUNS. 1) Cal. 12 GA. S# 18711. Bbl. 30". Model 1900 pump action shotgun mfg. Banner. Top of the rnd. damascus bbl. is marked with a mostly legible "SPENCER RPTG.SHOT GUN PAT.APL.1882". Left side of the receiver is marked "F. BANNERMAN MANUFACTURER NEW YORK USA/ MODEL 1900". Grooved wood pump and plain wood rnd. knob buttstock with checkered steel buttplate. Brass bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components have faded to a gray patina, exhibiting scattered handling marks, as well as scattered spots and patches of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting. Rear section of bbl. exhibits marring at and around the patent marking. Dark bore, exhibiting consistent moderate pitting throughout. Proper manual mechanics, although the action occasionally gets stuck. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with flaking to added varnish. (25-5906/MLW). 2) Cal. 12 GA. S# 18777. Bbl. 32 1/8". Model 1900 pump action shotgun mfg. by Bannerman. Top of the rnd. damascus bbl. is marked "SPENCER RPTG.SHOT GUN PAT.APL.1882". Left side of the receiver is marked "F. BANNERMAN MANUFACTURER NEW YORK U.S.A./ MODEL 1900". Sanded and refinished checkered and grooved wood pump with checkered rnd. knob buttstock and black hard rubber buttplate. Bead front sight is absent. CONDITION: metal components have faded to a gray patina, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting overall. Action does not function properly, with the breechblock having to be manually pushed down. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sound. PROVENANCE: From the PMRB Collection. (25-5907/MLW). BOTH CURIO. $400-600.
