CONVERTED TO PERCUSSION. Cal. 11.8mm. NSN. Rnd. 30.5" bbl.; has black powder Belgian proofs. Blade front sight & tangent adj. rear sight. Snider style action w/ "7" on breech block; breech block converted to percussion with firing pin replaced with percussion nipple. Lock marked "PFENNINGER / STAFFA". Wedge fastened hardwood stock w/ replacement oversized Schuetzen buttplate. CONDITION: metal has good fading blue with oxidation & marks. Fair worn wood finish with cracks, white paint & marks. Bore shows pitting & strong rifling. Mechanically fine lock. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (01-28326/MD). ANTIQUE. $300-500.
