Cal. 6.5x55. S# 19182. Bbl. 22". Ramped white bead front sight. Lyman aperture rear sight. Matching numbers on bolt & receiver. Other parts mismatched or unnumbered. 1918 dated receiver. Commercial reblue finish. Shortened hardwood stock with bottom mounted sling stud holes. CONDITION: sanded stock has added finish with a plugged round hole on toeline, some dings, staining & handling marks. Metal retains 95% reblue with some oxidation spots, edge wear & handling marks. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Dark poor bore with visible rifling but pitting & oxidation. PROVENANCE: Estate of Groves Herrick. (25-5642/MJC). MODERN. $200-300.
