Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 2091e. Bbl. 24 3/4" shortened. Blade front sight. Roller coaster rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching numbers on receiver, bbl., rear sight, all bottom metal parts & all bolt parts except for cocking piece. Other parts are unnumbered or mismatched. Modified & shortened 1918 VCS Gew 98. Reblue finish. VZ-24 replacement stock & bands. Bottom mounted & left side sling swivels. No cleaning rod or small locking screws present. CONDITION: stock has a darkened appearance with a crack behind upper tang, some chips most notable on right rear of handguard, a patch of black staining behind disc, scattered dings, gouges, scratches & handling marks. Metal shows a fading old reblue with front band having a silvery appearance, some dings, scattered oxidation, handling marks & edge wear. Action functions properly when hand cycled.
