^Lot 1189 LATE PRODUCTION MAUSER BANNER K BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 89433. Bbl. 23 5/8". Blade front sight with base slotted for hood but no hood present. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000m. All visible matching numbers. 1934 production Banner K rifle without any organizational stamps. It is believed these later rifles were used by German police & other agencies. Receiver ring has 1934 date & Mauser Banner. Left side of receiver has BUGN proofs. Walnut stock set with left side sling provisions & leather sling that shows heavy wear. No cleaning rod present. CONDITION; stock set has a cleaned appearance with the name "HIRT" lightly carved on underside of butt, a crack behind upper tang, a small crack at handguard tip, some light chips, dings, moderate abrasions & handling marks. Metal has a silvery-cleaned appearance with scattered oxidation, some light pitting, traces of original bluing, handling marks & some light scratches. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows some pitting & frosting but good rifling. (25-6167/MJC). CURIO. $700-1,000.
