^Lot 29 Missouri, USA - 2 Hunters for 1-Day Spring Snow Goose Hunt

This hunt is based in Mound City, Missouri, home of the Loess National Wildlife Refuge. The Spring conservation season allows for unlimited Snows every day. Extended Mag shotguns are allowed and encouraged. Over 1,000,000 snow geese can be at this location at one time with some of the largest numbers reaching 4,000,000. This makes lots of action for the hunters. Owner-operator and outfitter, Andy Christman, has private land leases nearby. Electronic calls are used as well as 2000+/- decoys consisting of wind socks, flyers and rotaries. They typically hunt from back boards however pit blinds are available for additional cost. EAR PLUGS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Camouflage or white clothing is recommended along with face mask or paint. Sunglasses can spoke birds. Bird Dogs, mainly American Labs, do the retrieving. Processing of the birds is available for a small fee charged per bird.
Includes: 1 day lodging night before the hunt with 3 meals.
Not included: Missouri Conservation order Hunting license and Federal Waterfowl stamp which can be purchased online or from outfitter. Hunt can be upgraded to additional days and lodging, or use of a pit blind for more comfort. Shotguns can be rented and ammo purchased from the outfitter. They recommend 3 boxes/day of 3” BB sized steel of non-toxic shot 12 or 20 GA.
Additional hunters are welcome at current prices. Contact outfitter for details. Discounts applied for a group of 10 hunters. This hunt can be taken mid-Feb to mid-March 2027 Monday thru Thursday. Temperatures can range from freezing in the morning to 60 in the afternoon, rain or shine. Layers and waterproof clothing are suggested. Several of our Chapter members have hunted with them.
