Lot of Asian & Middle Eastern Edged Weapons: 1.) Reproduction Middle Eastern shamshir with scabbard, 41'' overall, 31.75'' blade with Arabic markings along spine. 2.) Ceremonial horn or nafir constructed primarily of brass, and likely of Middle Eastern or North African origin. 14.5'' long. 3.) Ceremonial Moro kris with ornate brass handle and scabbard, 30'' overall with scabbard; blade is 17.5'' long . 4.) Ornate Ottoman yataghan with gilt scabbard of composite construction. Blade is decoratively etched and 24'' long; 29.25 inches overall without scabbard. 5.) Ornate short Ottoman yataghan with gilt scabbard. Composite handle with wood scales. Blade is 17.25''; 22.5'' overall without scabbard. 6.) Large knife with ornate brass handle and composite scabbard. Straight-backed 14.5'' blade with a slight clip point and no edge; 19.75'' overall. Branch and leaf markings are etched on the blade. Likely of Middle Eastern or North African origin. 7.) Curved Southeast Asian short sword with ornate composite handle and oversized scabbard both with set turquoise. Blade is 13.5''; 20.5'' overall. Scabbard features dragon motifs. Conditions range from fair to very good, showing varying amounts of age and wear. Reproduction shamshir with a piece missing from the top edge of the scabbard. Est.: $550-$750/lot.
