Lot 719 Lot of Three (3) Arab & Caucasian Daggers with Scabbards
Lot of Three (3) Arab & Caucasian Daggers with Scabbards: 1.) Arab Jambiya, 10.25'' damascus blade with medial ridge, and up swept point. Guard and pommel are made from horn wrapped with hammered silver and engraved with floral and bead motifs, with a pearl set in the end cap. Handle is made from copper. Condition is good overall, blade shows light wear, exterior pieces show darkening. Handle appears to be broken and has been repaired with copper wire and leather. Scabbard has a wooden base wrapped with hammered silver engraved with matching motifs and covered with a carved leather wrapping. Condition is good with darkening to the silver and wear to the leather. 2.) Caucasian Kindjal, 13.75'' three fullered blade inscribed with a star shaped symbol. Wooden handle is wrapped with ornately engraved wire reinforced hammered silver secured with two rivets. Condition is good, the blade shows patina and there are chips and damage to one side. There is a section missing from the rear of the damaged pommel, handle is otherwise good and fits tightly to the blade. Scabbard has a wooden base wrapped with hammered silver engraved with matching motifs. Condition is good with creases and dents to the rear. 3.) Caucasian Kindjal, 15.25'' three fullered blade, stamped with a Tughra type monogram. Two-piece horn handle has an attached diamond emblem and is secured with two rivets. Condition is good with patina and scratches to the blade. Handle fits tightly to the blade. Scabbard has a leather wrapped wooden base and ornately engraved locket and chape. Condition is good.
