L.C. Smith Model LC12-AB Field Grade Side-by-Side Shotgun, #57639. 12 ga., 28'' vent rib barrels have a wavy top surface with target beads, 2-3/4'' chambers, and chokes that are MOD/IM. The action is a boxlock with sideplates, and features a rib extension crossbolt lockup, double triggers, automatic safety, and plain extractors. The receiver is properly case-hardened, with the triggers and trigger guard remaining blue. The medium size forend and pistol grip buttstock are field grade oil-finished walnut, with checkering at 20 LPI, black plastic grip cap, and black plastic buttplate. Stock dimensions are 14'' x 1-3/4'' x 2-5/8''. Mfg'd by Marlin Firearms in approximately 2005. Condition is excellent, retaining approx. 98% blue. Case color are mostly vibrant but show a little muting to bottom of the frame. There are only a few handling marks to the wood, and very little wear to the action, which closes very tight and functions correctly; bores are mirror bright. Est.: $600-$800. (Modern/PPT)
