Custom Remington Model 700 Bolt Action Sporting Rifle, #373560, .30-338 cal., 22'' custom barrel, blue finish. The walnut Monte Carlo stock has machine fleur-de-lis checkering, ebony forend tip, grip cap, and ends with a ventilated rubber recoil pad, providing a 13'' LOP. There is no provision for sights. Rifle is topped with a one-piece Redfield base, rings, and Redfield 6-18x scope, with an adjustable objective, finished in gloss black, with a duplex reticle, and bullet drop compensator. Exterior of the scope shows normal age and wear, optics are clear. Rifle is in very good overall condition, retaining approx 93%- 94% finish, with light wear at the muzzle, and scattered minor scratches along the barrel. Receiver has drifted to a plum color with age, displaying minor marks, with some light scratches and edgewear to the trigger guard and floorplate. Trigger guard and interior of the bolt handle are both etched with a prior owner's driver's license number. Stock is in very good condition, with numerous scrapes and scuffs, worse on the left side. Cheekpiece shows several flea bite chips and wear around the edge. Action functions well with a crisp trigger. Bore rates very good+ with well-defined rifling. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R/PPT)
