Savage Model 1899B Lever Action Rifle, #12661, .303 Savage cal., 26'' octagon barrel, blue finish. Smooth walnut straight grip stock and Schnabel forend, ends with a smooth steel crescent buttplate, providing a 13'' LOP. Rifle also features a dovetailed Marble 37W blade front sight, replacement semi-buckhorn rear sight, internal rotary magazine with brass cartridge counter, oblong cocking indicator on top of the bolt, and color case hardened lever and assembly. Rear of the receiver is drilled and tapped. Mfg'd 1899. Rifle is in very good overall condition, with the barrel retaining approx 90%-95% thinning finish, with wear at the muzzle, and intermittent spots of minor erosion. Receiver shows traces of original finish with the remainder wearing to gray. Lever displays muted color case hardened finish, brighter in the protected areas. Stock with scattered indentations, scratches, and a larger scrape on left side of the buttstock. Action functions smoothly and locks up securely. Bore is good with areas of light to moderate erosion and defined rifling. Est.: $600-$900. (C&R/PPT)
