Savage Model 1899H Lever Action Takedown Rifle, #142593, .22 Hi-Power cal., 20'' round barrel, with blue finish. Smooth walnut forend and straight grip stock with Schnabel forend, ending with a checkered hard rubber Savage buttplate, providing a 13.25'' LOP. Front sight blade is missing, adjustable ''U''-notch rear sight is marked ''Savage''. Rifle also features an internal rotary magazine with brass cartridge counter; receiver is drilled and tapped. Mfg'd 1913. Rifle is in very good condition, with the barrel retaining approx. 50%-60% thinning finish, with wear at the muzzle, scattered spots of light erosion. Receiver has worn to silver, with areas of light corrosion, and an indentation on the left side. Stock is in very good condition, with impressions and thinning finish, particularly on the underside of the buttstock. Forend is correctly marked with the matching serial number on the interior. Action functions smoothly and locks up securely. Bore is very good with some areas of light erosion and defined rifling. Est.: $600-$900. (C&R/PPT)
