Marlin Model 1894-S Lever Action Rifle with Leupold Scope, #11079434, originally chambered in .45 Colt but the consignor states that it has been rechambered to .454 Casull, 20'' round ''JM'' marked barrel, blue finish, straight grip walnut stock and forend with solid brown rubber Marlin buttpad, beaded blade front sight on ramped base with hood, folding semi-buckhorn rear sight with elevator, and cross-bolt safety. Mfg'd 1989. Rifle is topped with a one-piece base, unmarked rings, and Leupold M8 2.5x compact scope, which features a duplex reticle and gloss black finish. Scope with a few scratches and marks to the exterior; optics are bright and clear. Metal surfaces rate near excellent overall and retain approx. 95% factory blue, showing intermittent marks from use, and one more noticeable scratch to the left side of the barrel. Factory lettering is crisp. Forend with only a few light handling marks. Buttstock with a few larger gouges to the left side, otherwise showing only minor handling marks. Action is crisp and operates smoothly but the safety is not functioning properly and needs to be repaired prior to use. Bore rates excellent and is bright with defined rifling. Est.: $700-$900.
