^Lot 551 U.S. M1833 Artillery Sword

U.S. M1833 Artillery Sword, no scabbard, 19'' double edged blade with multiple fullers, 25'' OAL. Blade is marked ''UNITED STATES/1836'' and ''N.P.AMES''. Top of the guard is marked ''HKC'', ''ORD'', and ''LS''. Brass grip with fish scale pattern and an eagle on both sides at the pommel. Condition is good, blade with general darkening and areas of light erosion/pitting; point is rounded. Brass shows moderate toning and handling marks. Est.: $300-$500.
