German First Model Luftwaffe Dress Dagger with Scabbard, 12.25'' blade with raised flattened center, 17.75'' OAL, aluminum pommel and crossguard with down swept wings have swastikas in the center and the wooden grip is covered with Moroccan leather wrapped with two strand wire. The blade is etched ''Fridericus'' over a stamped ''Solingen''. Blade condition is very good, retaining its original factory cross grain, now showing intermittent dark spots and scratches. The blade is slightly bent and there are small impact marks to one side. Guard and pommel are in fair condition, now a dark color with a rough texture. Handle is in poor condition and retains only traces of its blue leather. Wire remains tightly in place. Scabbard is in poor condition showing only remnants of its blue leather, now with rust and corrosion. Hanger is in fair condition with fraying to the silver thread. Belt hanger is torn off and missing. Est.: $300-$500.
