Converted Antique Mauser Kar 71 Bolt Action Carbine, #755E, 11.15x60Rmm cal., 20'' barrel, blued finish with bright receiver, hardwood stock, inverted-''V'' front sight, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with ''V''-notched groove, graduated to 1300 meters. Includes a reproduction brown leather sling, in good used condition. Top of the barrel shank is marked ''OSTERR.WAFFFB.GES.'' with a ''(crown)/FW'' and crowned proof and inspection stamps. ''1876.1877'' is stamped on right side of the receiver. There are crowned inspection stamps on right side of the buttstock. Unit marked ''B.2.T.S.1.46.'' on the buttplate. Bolt is numbered but does not match. Other visible numbers are matching. Carbine has been converted by removing the original nosecap and installing a replacement that features a bayonet mount. Condition overall is good, showing dark patina throughout the barrel. Replacement barrel band has been cold blued. The receiver, bolt assembly, and buttplate have brown toning and patina. Wood with general mostly small to medium sized dents and scratches, a fine crack behind the receiver tang, and the forend has been ''duffle cut'' under the rear barrel band. Bolt operates smoothly but the safety is not functioning and needs to be repaired. Est.: $400-$600. (Antique)
