Springfield Armory U.S. Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle, #865804, .30-06 cal., 24'' barrel, blued finish, walnut stock, blade front sight, and model 1905 ''U''-notch adjustable rear sight. Receiver is marked ''U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/MODEL 1903/865804''. Avis barrel is marked ''AV/Flaming Bomb/11-18''. Rifle is in good overall condition. Finish on the receiver and barrel is approx. 75%-80% thinning and toning blue, with wear on the front sight. Checkered buttplate is like new but the trigger housing is lacking finish. Scant stock has a boxed ''P'' at the scant grip but was cut near the barrel band area so the handguard and associated parts are missing. Action works properly. Bore is very good with sharp rifling.
