Webley RIC Model 83 Double Action Revolver, #96418, .455 cal., 2.5'' barrel, blued finish, checkered one-piece hardwood grip, silver blade front sight, fixed wide ''V''-notch rear sight, with a swiveling lanyard ring. Left side of the frame is marked ''.455'' over ''WEBLEY'S/R.I.C/MODEL/83/5 SHOT/(Winged Bullet)/W&S''. Top of the frame with ''P.WEBLEY & SON'' over ''LONDON & BIRMINGHAM''. There are Birmingham proof and view stamps on the frame and barrel. Matching number on the cylinder. Condition overall is good, retaining approx. 40% blue, showing browning to the barrel and patina across both sides of the frame and front grip strap. Cylinder has mostly bright bluing with fine scratches. Grip is good with scattered handling marks and impressions to the varnished finish. Action needs adjustment/repair as the cylinder turns intermittently or does not function in single or double action mode. The trigger, hammer, and ejector operate smoothly.
