British Mark IV Martini Henry Single Shot Rifle, #NVSN, .577/450 Martini/Henry cal., 33.2'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock set, blade on ramp front sight, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with ''V''-notch, graduated to 1300 yards. Includes steel cleaning rod. Right side of the receiver is marked ''(Crown)/V.R/ENFIELD/1887/(Lock Viewer's mark)/IV/I''. Right side of the buttstock is stamped with a faint roundel stamp over ''IV'' (for Mark IV) and ''I'' (for 1st line firearm), with additional British and Nepalese stamps. Condition overall is good, with the metal mostly toned brown, showing an area of cleaning to the front section of the barrel. Wood is good, with a few small chips to the top of the buttstock behind the receiver; general impressions and handling marks to the darkened finish. Action functions well. Rifling is fair but the bore is dark with visible rust. Est.: $300-$500. (Antique)
