^Lot 484 Cased Revolutionary War Clamshell Hanger Sword

Cased Revolutionary War Clamshell Hanger Sword. Mounted in sealed case and not available for close inspection. The square back single edged blade has a fuller along the top edge and is approx. 23.75''. Brass knuckle bow guard has a simple decoration in the center, clamshell on the right side, and a round pommel with flat nut on the rear. Grip is smooth hardwood. Condition appears to be good with patina spots to the blade, handling marks and toning to the guard and shell. There are marks and dark areas to the grip. Case is made from gold colored plastic with a glass top and a red velvet interior. Green sticker on the back reads ''RHETT GALLERY'' with an address in South Carolina. Est.: $500-$800.
