^Lot 483 Reproduction Scottish Highland Officers Broad Sword with Scabbard

Reproduction Scottish Highland Officer's Broad Sword with Scabbard, 31.5'' double fuller blade with spear tip embossed with Scottish thistle decorations on both sides. The right side ricasso has a brass button marked ''PROVED T.'' surrounded by a six pointed star. Plated steel basket is pierced with heart shaped decorations and has a forward quillion, and a round pommel. Grip is covered with brown leather secured with twisted brass wire. Basket is lined with blue trimmed white leather and red fabric on the outside. The tassel is a faded red color with split ends. Condition overall is very good, with the blade showing handling marks, patina spots, and a few rough areas to the edge. Hilt with small spots of flaking and patina. Blade is slightly loose in the handle. Basket lining shows age and wear. Steel scabbard has two loose rings and a round end cap. Condition is good with light rust frosting and a few small dents.
