^Lot 482 French Napoleonic Court Sword with Scabbard

French Napoleonic Court Sword with Scabbard, 31''triangular blade, gold finished knuckle bow guard and clam shell embossed with a standing eagle surrounded by oak leaves, grooved black handle with ferrule, and bulbous pommel. The lower section of the bright blade has been blued and has acid etched golden motifs. Condition is fine, one section of the blade appears to have been damaged and re sharpened and there are scattered small dark spots. Point and guard are very good, handle fits firmly and shows small marks and scratches, especially to the right side. Scabbard has a gold finished locket and drag, with black leather body. Scabbard is in good condition, showing wear and some flaking to the leather. Est.: $400-$700.
